Sallie Gardner at a Gallop 2013

Inspired by Victorian photographer Eadweard Muybridge’s film “Sallie Gardner at a Gallop” (1878).
This film was created by 16 small scale clay horses each for one stage of motion according to Muybridge’s contact sheet.
The original version was created in loop-form for small screen within a specific gallery installation; since then the work is being shown as a live outdoor projection;
