‘Dancers’ shows clay figures and puppets in human shape.
Although human beings are a part of nature and biologically a species of animals, they tend to differentiate themselves from other animals because the language that indicates this verbal distinction has been created by humans.
Animals love, breed, compete, fight, and kill each other, but contemporary human behaviour is very complex and includes many indirect forms of communication and manipulation, that made situations possible which do not happen among animals, for example human beings do not just kill a rival, but have the ability to drive each other to suicide.
To express this aspect and distinction of human beings this category features dancers, that in a ritualistic format express elements of human life.
In spring 2021 I started to notice some health problems and eventually spent almost all of May and June in two hospitals, to be finally diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Beginning of July I was discharged and started treatment with chemotherapy and other methods. Most of my sculptures inclusive and after “The Experienced Susanna” were made in that period and strongly influenced by that experience and my thoughts and moods during that time, and from here on ongoing.
