Mike Bradley sent me a fabulous harmonica sound track. Mike is a genius, I know that, but he is also a crazy genius (of course, are there non-crazy geniuses at all?), so what happened was for the slide show I looked through various things as sound-track, recorded some new stuff, was not happy with any, and by chance found something from about half a year ago in my house, where we are listening to Screaming Jay Hawkins playing “I put a spell on you” and Mike is messing with a very nice harmonica I had shown him, and luckily I recorded it.

It is very great, only we are also goofing around, laughing and joking and I thought, this would be great “without” talking and joking, so I called Mike and explained it to him and told him I needed him to find a harmonica and play and record the same piece without chatter. Very simple, very easy, right?

I also sent him a play list of other things, if he wanted to do extra, so we could pick and combine. Well. Finally today I get the soundtrack which is A; fabulous and B; none of the things I had asked him or what was on the play list and ZERO Screaming Jay and ZERO “I put a spell on you”.

That’s Mike, the genius. A pain in the ass and yet: irresistible.

Leaves me sitting, editing for some extra xyz hours sound track and remixing slide show details and a mini clip “dog barking” to make it all work. Yes, we will do many more like that and they will be great (I hope)….
