It’s Saturday night and after she’s done singing at Miyamoto’s Starfish is taking Molly out for a pizza and a late night movie, which is romantic and remarkable, because Starfish classically never has any money, and every penny he earns is going into his gradual sex-change, which everybody knows, so we were surprised, but nobody made any comment about where the sudden riches stem from, and nobody would say anything to Molly, that’s for sure, Starfish would kill us.
Chiaki and Larry being good friends came along, Molly was charming, witty and chatty as always and Starfish was admiring her as ever, not saying much, maybe more so dreaming.

After the movie more of the passionate kissing we others by now got somewhat used to, I am just still amazed about Chiaki being so nonchalant about it all, because these two guys are pretty in the face of everyone who is trying not to look, not that they even notice it, it seems.

Although, one thing, and I didn’t say anything, but: I did notice Starfish’s shoes when we left the theatre, and this only because shortly after I had moved into the hotel he had modeled for me, and from that money he had bought some expensive boots and a Victorian Expectations-jacket, of which neither he had owned before. And tonight he is wearing some pretty beat up tennis shoes, on a date with his dream girl, that (excuse me everybody!) is a bit odd, to say the least. I am wondering if he has sold his boots to come up with some cash to take Molly on a date; I would’t put it past him, as starry eyed as he is for her…
