The clean-up process of Billy’s room has been more involving than expected. First of all, he had a lot of stuff, and then we had to look at it all, trying to determine if any relatives, IF they ever bother showing up, might want some of his belongings, or what of it is garbage and can go in the bin straight away. Definitely there was a lot more to Billy than people were aware of, I guess that is often enough the case, it’s just everyone is so involved with whatever they have going on, one misses out on things, and on people.

We found a box containing pictures of photo shoots, obviously Billy, too, had been modelling. Many of the people in the hotel are pt photo-models for more or less shady creatures, calling themselves “photographers”. Starfish and Chiaki would know a couple of those, and I bet ChoCho, too, when he was starting out, now he probably can get classier people.
Apparently there is one who uses tenants of the hotel as models, he has a beautiful large apartment with four chain-locks on his entrance door. The place is filled with stuffed wild animals from exotic countries, heads on the wall and whatnot, apparently there is even a giraffe. He is into tacky colour nude photographs containing a lot of lipstick red and red pumps, not half as eccentric as his ambiente, but pays alright, I guess.
Another one has a studio in a basement apartment and he pretends anyways he is making miniature action figures he needs models for (the figures are around, so maybe some of it is even true.) He is small and on the wrong side of 50 and running around all the time at least during the photo shooting with a pith helmet and khaki shorts. He has a remote controlled motorized turntable for the models to pose on with a fake polar bear fur on. He is also filming the poses, allegedly so he can go back to the pose he is using for his figures when the model went home and do touch ups. Right. Chiaki has done a couple of quite intimidating Amazon warrior queens for him, and Starfish recently did some fantasy elf-thingy, they showed me the pics.
I mean, the characters that are looking for photo models, you wouldn’t believe it until you have met some of them yourself. And yet funny. (As so many things in life.)

But these pictures Billy had here in his box were different, a bit more professionally done, the only big surprise was seeing Billy so free and also so beautiful posing apparently in various gowns. There were many, so far we found the one box, but perhaps there is even more once. Nobody had a clue about that, because Billy was always so introvert and certainly never showed any of these to anyone here, although they are great and everyone here would have been so impressed. Maybe he was worried he’d get bullied for these, too. But, considering Billy’s constant money issues, there could have been a career in this, far from the tortured, bullied, bulimic Billy we all knew, I want to say, Billy never looked so beautiful as on these pictures.

They were labelled with pencil on the back. There were some of Billy in a pink kimono that made him look like a fairy tale princess:

Then there were some labelled “Tant Loisi’s Wiener Kleid”, which translates to “Aunt Loisi’s Viennese dress”, (probably the once owner would be rather a great-aunt or great-great aunt ), the dress on the pictures is a gorgeous ArtDeco dress in red, white, black and yellow design with black lace over it and a triple colour ostrich feather boa with an ostrich plumage fan. I am wondering if these are some of Billy’s own gowns he brought along with him from home?

Oh Billy, you could have been a friggin super model! Somehow he reminds me a bit of Tom Petty in his aunt’s dress there, now sure why.

And then there were some odd ones in a plain flower print cotton night gown, that were labelled “Mamas Nachthemd” which translates to “MaMa’s night gown”, and I guess, maybe that is exactly what is says, his mom’s night gown, for some reason:

There are many of these photos. Pretty fantastico. We didn’t go through everything yet, there are more boxes and potentially more photos inside.

What we did find were some of the gowns Bily was wearing in the pictures, sadly not the feathercrown, but a sheer pink and lavender gown with sewn boa and “Tant Loisi’s Wiener Kleid”, (‘aunt Loisi’s Viennese dress’), they must be worth a fortune, so once again we are stuck with what to with them if nobody comes to claim them. I guess we could add them to the donation box to cover the funeral, but in a way shame to loose them. (There was also that night gown from the photo shoot, but it was pretty crinkled up and stuffed quite carelessly in a box, and to sell it we wouldn’t get anything for it, I suppose.)
